About Us
Beyond the Mall Tours started with an idea: after ten years of guiding walking tours across DC for other companies, we knew we could build something better. So we decided to do it ourselves. We spent a decade sharing DC's history with visitors, and what keeps us doing it is simple: we love standing in the actual places where history happened. There's something different about hearing a story on the steps where it unfolded, rather than reading about it somewhere else. For us, these monuments and spaces aren't just backdrops. They're a direct link to our past, and we want everyone on our tours to feel that connection too. The focus is on what we do best: leading tours and telling DC's story right. Together, we're building the kind of company we always wished existed... one rooted in real expertise, real care, and a genuine love for this city.
