We meet at the Visitor's Center and walk into Arlington National Cemetery, starting with its origins. Once the grounds of Robert E. Lee's estate, the cemetery became a burial ground during the Civil War, and your guide explains how a private home turned into the nation's most significant military cemetery, and why that history still matters today. Arlington remains an active burial site, and your guide addresses this with the care it deserves as we walk the grounds.

From there, we walk to John F. Kennedy's gravesite, marked by the Eternal Flame, before making our way to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, timed to see the Changing of the Guard. Your guide explains the precision behind the ceremony and what the tomb represents. We close at Arlington House, the Greek Revival mansion overlooking the cemetery, tying its history back to the land it sits on.
